Responsibilities
- Support regional and global sales teams in complex Grid Automation opportunities and customer conversations
- Lead and facilitate customer workshops, requirement clarification sessions, and technical deep dives
- Define and shape end to end Grid Automation architectures aligned with customer needs and Siemens Energy standards
- Contribute to the creation of technical proposals, solution descriptions, and value based narratives
- Advise customers on grid modernization, digital substations, and automation roadmaps
- Support customers in defining technology migration paths and scalable Grid Automation architectures
- Support the definition and execution of go to market strategies for Grid Automation within Digital Grid
- Represent Siemens Energy in customer meetings, executive briefings, and industry events
- Collaborate effectively within a global, matrixed organization to ensure consistent messaging and solution quality
Requirements
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation Engineering, or comparable technical discipline
- Several years of experience in technical sales, pre sales, system engineering, or consulting in grid automation or power systems
- Strong understanding of substation automation, SCADA systems, protection and control, and digital grid concepts
- Experience working with utilities, TSOs, DSOs, or industrial grid operators
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear customer value propositions
- Experience working in international and matrixed environments
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English; German or additional languages are an advantage

- As a Technical Sales Expert for Grid Automation, you play a central role in driving the successful positioning and growth of Siemens Energy’s Digital Grid portfolio.
- Your focus lies on Grid Automation solutions that enable reliable, efficient, and intelligent power system operations across transmission and distribution networks.
- You work closely between regional sales teams, customers, portfolio management, and engineering experts.
- Your daily work spans customer workshops, technical advisory sessions, solution shaping, and sales and business development activities.
