Responsibilities
- Execute the Canadian and U.S. tax compliance program, maintaining filing schedules and compliance documentation
- Develop and maintain a scalable tax governance framework
- Monitor changes in Canadian and U.S. tax legislation and assess impacts
- Prepare Canadian and U.S. corporate income tax compliance, including tax returns, estimated payments, extensions, and supporting schedules
- Coordinate quarterly and annual IFRS tax provisions
- Support transfer pricing compliance and intercompany transactions
- Manage Canadian indirect tax compliance (GST/HST, PST, QST) and U.S. sales and use tax compliance
- Monitor economic and physical nexus requirements and ensure timely registrations and filings
- Serve as primary contact for CRA, IRS, and U.S. state tax authorities during audits
- Identify opportunities to automate tax calculations, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities
Requirements
- CPA designation
- 4+ years of progressive experience in Canadian and U.S. taxation within public accounting and/or industry
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. corporate income tax, IFRS tax accounting, GST/HST, PST, QST, U.S. Sales & Use Tax, multi state nexus rules, tax provisions and deferred tax accounting
- Experience managing tax audits with CRA, IRS, and U.S. state tax authorities
- Experience supporting transfer pricing and intercompany transactions
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets proficiency
- Experience designing scalable tax controls, governance frameworks, and compliance processes
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills

What You’ll Do

What You Bring
- CPA designation.
