Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee Process Safety Management (PSM) protocols for high risk areas
- Conduct process hazard analysis (PHA) and ensure adherence to safety critical procedures
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations (OSHA, ISO 45001, local labour laws)
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
- Facilitate investigation of workplace accidents and determine root causes
- Utilize data analytics to track and analyse safety performance indicators
- Support in organizing toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns
- Coach frontline workers and supervisors on safety related topics
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 3 years relevant working experience in a similar heavy manufacturing industry in HSE, Technical, Operations, Process Design, or Engineering functions
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of HSE Management systems and international HSE standards
- Good written and spoken English
- Hazard identification, risk analysis and assessment methodologies

Job Purpose
- To monitor and assist in the effective implementation of the localised EGA's corporate Safety programs across the assigned plant operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Implements approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls
- Implement and oversee Process Safety Management (PSM) protocols for high risk areas
- Conduct process hazard analysis (PHA) and ensure adherence to safety critical procedures
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations (OSHA, ISO 45001, local labour laws)
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
- Facilitate investigation of workplace accidents and determine root causes
- Utilize data analytics to track and analyse safety performance indicators
- Support in organizing toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns
- Coach frontline workers and supervisors on safety related topics
- Develop and initiate routine evaluations of the workplace
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies
- Provide health and environmental inputs to projects
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Basic safety certifications (e.g., ADOSH Practitioner, NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Lead Safety) are preferred
- Minimum of 2 3 years relevant working experience in a similar heavy manufacturing industry
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of HSE Management systems and international HSE standards
- Good written and spoken English
- Excellent interpersonal and customer focused skills
- Good time management and priority setting skills
- Hazard identification, risk analysis and assessment methodologies
- Root Cause Analysis Techniques
- Data analysis and/ or excel capability
