Senior Software Engineer – GDS, Codeshare & Interline Support (.NET)

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain integrations with PSS platforms such as Amadeus Altéa, Sabre, Travelport, Navitaire, and Radixx, plus GDS networks.
• Build and support .NET systems for reservations, ticketing, fare calculation, inventory, availability, PNR management, and revenue accounting.
• Implement EDIFACT, Type A/B messaging, NDC, and IATA standards including PADIS and AIDX.
• Develop SOAP/REST interfaces using XML and JSON between internal systems and external GDS/PSS endpoints.
• Own incident triage, root cause analysis, and permanent resolution for GDS/PSS issues.
• Troubleshoot PNR and ticketing discrepancies and message-queue failures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical booking and ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with revenue management, airport operations, and interline teams on technical specifications.
• Maintain runbooks, monitoring, and alerting to improve system stability.
• Guide junior engineers and influence architecture for PSS/GDS-adjacent systems.
• Align development with IATA resolutions, interline agreements, and global data standards.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive .NET software engineering experience with mission-critical, high-availability systems.
• Proven airline PSS/GDS integration expertise, including platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport.
• Deep understanding of EDIFACT, Type A/B, XML, and JSON travel industry messaging standards.
• Production support and incident management experience in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills for complex distributed systems.
• Ability to translate airline business requirements into scalable, reliable technical solutions.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with NDC implementation, IATA NDC schemas, or Farelogix and Accelya aggregators.
• Exposure to interline or codeshare workflows, IROPS handling, or revenue accounting reconciliation.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and Docker or Kubernetes.
• IATA or relevant airline industry certifications.
• Experience working with airline operations, revenue management, or customer service teams.
