About the Role
TELUS Health is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join the Pharmacy Development team, building intelligent systems for healthcare. You will design and lead development of pharmacy management tools, integrate AI into daily practice, and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and lead development of pharmacy management tools, mobile applications, and integration services
- Write, review, and refactor production code—staying hands on with the codebase while driving continuous improvement
- Integrate AI into your daily development practice—leveraging generative AI and knowledge bases to troubleshoot, generate tests, and write code
- Mentor and guide junior and mid level engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and healthcare stakeholders to understand pharmacy workflows and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in architectural decisions and design reviews, contributing to technical roadmap planning and proof of concept projects
- Monitor industry trends in both healthcare technology and AI capabilities
Requirements
- Active, hands on experience with generative AI tools and large language models (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) integrated into your development practice
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a track record of delivering complex systems
- Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks (Java, C#/.Net Core, JavaScript/Node.js, Kotlin, Python, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated expertise in full stack development including backend APIs, database design, and modern frontend technologies
- Deep understanding of design patterns, system architecture, and SOLID principles
- Proven experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and asynchronous programming
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical discussions with clear communication and collaborative skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
- Advanced knowledge of English is required

What you will do

What you bring

Salary Range
- CAD 86,000 CAD 136,000
- Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%
