Role Overview
Supervise service teams carrying out preventive maintenance, call-back attendance, planned and unplanned repairs, modernization, and related field activities.
Guide teams on operational efficiency and safety processes while managing site escalations in accordance with business policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and contractual work on assigned units according to the issued route chart.
- Conduct planned and unplanned adjustments and repairs for Otis products within the assigned area.
- Attend equipment call-backs, inspect equipment, and perform fault finding to return units to service.
- Identify abnormalities and missing components, report safety concerns, implement corrective actions, and generate upselling opportunities.
- Inspect critical or high-call-back units and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Otis line operators so call-backs are attended according to defined service-level agreements.
- Complete timesheets, log cards, maintenance JHA, OSA forms, SVR sheets, and related mechanical-duty records on time.
- Follow client-site rules and regulations and escalate potential conflicts with Otis safety guidelines.
- Conduct client-site safety audits to verify compliance with Otis safe working procedures and WWJSSS requirements.
- Support junior colleagues and conduct technical training to improve team skills and operational effectiveness.
- Report accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe conditions affecting mechanics or end users.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in service or maintenance operations in the vertical transportation industry.
- At least 8 years in positions of progressively increasing responsibility.
- Diploma in engineering or an equivalent qualification in elevators.
