Role Overview
Otis is seeking an Installation Mechanic to install elevator and escalator units safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards.
The role focuses on protecting passengers and technical stakeholders through safe installation practices.
Responsibilities
- Install new elevators with quality and efficiency.
- Work safely in accordance with environmental health and safety guidelines.
- Stay away overnight when required.
- Liaise directly with customers while working on site.
- Inspect units before and after installation to confirm quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- Be a qualified mechanic with knowledge of elevator equipment.
- Apply elevator engineering principles to installation work.
- Be qualified to install elevators to the standards set in the country of employment.
- Hold a driver's license where required.
- Have at least six months of elevator field experience, ideally in assembly or site installation.
- Have good electrical and mechanical skills.
- Be comfortable with plan reading and calculations.
