Role Overview

Manage the accounting function within Otis Middle East entities under management guidance.

Ensure effective implementation of accounting policies in accordance with approved business procedures.

Financial Close and Reporting

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
  • Analyze variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods.

General Ledger Management

  • Oversee general ledger activities and ensure data integrity.
  • Review balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS or GAAP accounting standards.

Compliance and Controls

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate policies.
  • Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
  • Maintain governance over financial reporting processes.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the R2R team.
  • Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure SLA adherence.
  • Promote accountability and continuous improvement.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Drive standardization and best practices across R2R processes.
  • Participate in ERP or accounting system implementations and enhancements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with FP&A, AP, AR, Tax, and business units.
  • Act as a key point of contact for finance leadership.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.

Intercompany and Consolidation

  • Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Support group consolidation activities where applicable.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience managing financial accounting functions.
  • At least 5 years in positions with progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant certification such as CMA or equivalent is preferred.
