- Lead Subcontract formation for a major airport terminal package

- Coordinate bidders’ questions and responses

- Coordinate with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations
- Manage less complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlement
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent)
- Grade 27: 15+ years of experience in Contracts, Claims or Commercial Management of large projects
- Grade 28: 20+ years of experience in Contracts, Claims or Commercial Management of mega projects
- Procurement and Contract formation experience
- Ability to draft and/or revise contract T&Cs
- Current/prior Middle East and/or international experience
- Developed presentation skills
- Training and/or mentoring skills

Project Overview
- Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments.
- In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports.
- Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company has been appointed to provide project management consultancy services for the development of a state of the art international airport in Riyadh.
- King Salman International Airport will have a capacity of up to 120 million travellers by 2030 and 185 million travellers by 2050.
- Bechtel will provide PMC services for three new terminals: Terminal 6, Iconic Terminal, and Private Aviation Terminal.
Job Summary
- In this role, you will lead Subcontract formation for a major airport terminal package before transitioning to contract administration.
- Subcontract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages in compliance with project contracts operating procedures.
- Subcontract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, and communication of difficulties.
Subcontract Formation
- Conforms to and ensures contract execution.
- Directs negotiation in the commitment of contracts.
- Prepares bidders’ lists and pre qualifies bidders.
- Forms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved bidders.
- Coordinates bidders’ questions and responses to those questions.
- Receives bids and evaluates bids commercially.
- Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations.
- Recommends and secures approvals in accordance with established procedures.
- Prepares contract documents for execution.
- Prepares and organizes assigned meetings, including pre bid, bid clarification, and pre award meetings.
- After reviewing the plan and agenda with supervisor, conducts meetings and prepares and issues meeting notes.
Subcontract Management
- Implements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule.
- Manages assigned contracts by maintaining continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties.
- Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, contract performance, and other major matters.
- Manages less complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlement.
- Communicates information programs to ensure mutual understanding of contract terms and conditions.
- Prepares periodic status reports for management.
Education And Experience Requirements
- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent).
- Grade 27: 15+ years of experience in Contracts, Claims or Commercial Management of large projects.
- Grade 28: 20+ years of experience in Contracts, Claims or Commercial Management of mega projects.
Required Knowledge And Skills
- Procurement and Contract formation experience.
- Ability to draft and/or revise contract T&Cs.
- Current/prior Middle East and/or international experience.
- Developed presentation skills.
- Training and/or mentoring skills.
- Flexibility in adjusting to workload and priorities.
- Well organized and good at documenting trends, process changes, procedures.
- Comfortable interacting in a multi national team environment.
