About the Role
Bechtel Corporation is hiring a Health & Safety Coordinator for the King Salman International Airport project in Riyadh. The role supports implementation of ESH management programs, conducts inspections, and assists with incident investigations.

Responsibilities
- Provide assistance in a wide variety of Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) disciplines to facilitate implementation of Bechtel's ES&H program
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs, systems, and procedures necessary for safety and health of employees and protection of the environment
- Maintain ES&H databases, inclusive of incident events, audit/assessment findings, and corrective actions
- Perform statistical analysis of ES&H data to help identify performance trends and contributing factors
- Help identify and coordinate unique software systems and electronic innovation used by ES&H personnel
- Lead teams in conducting risk assessment, studies, mitigation planning, and monitoring in response to ES&H issues
- Prepare communications, write reports, and prepare documents for program execution and records retention
- Assist with incident notifications, lead investigations, and prepare incident investigation reports
- Recommend and implement improvements in processes, procedures, and work activities to minimize hazard potential
- Participate in and support employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs
- Support ES&H recognition programs
- Provide support to ES&H field and office personnel, inclusive of all ES&H disciplines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2 5 years of relevant experience, or 6 9 years of relevant work experience
- Candidates with internationally recognized HSE qualifications like NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA etc. or similar are preferred
- Previous work experience within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the Middle East
- Knowledge of ES&H management systems
- Knowledge of national and international safety laws/regulations and regulatory agencies' requirements
- Knowledge of construction systems, methods, and work processes
- Skilled in oral and written communication in English

Job Summary
- Health & Safety Coordinator helps the implementation of ESH management programs, systems and processes; provides the technical oversight of the environment, safety and health activities; and provides the overall support for a specific area to be successful in controlling the risk of harm to people,
- Note: This position is designated for Saudi Nationals.
Major Responsibilities
- Provides assistance in a wide variety of Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) disciplines to facilitate implementation of Bechtel's ES&H program and ES&H Management System.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs, systems, and procedures necessary for the safety and health of employees and protection of the environment and communities.
- Maintains ES&H databases, inclusive of incident events, audit/assessment findings, and corrective actions.
- Performs statistical analysis of ES&H data to help identify performance trends and contributing factors as part of continuous improvement.
- Helps identify and coordinate any unique software systems and electronic innovation used by ES&H personnel.
- Leads teams in conducting risk assessment, studies, mitigation planning, and monitoring in response to ES&H issues.
- Prepares communications, writes reports, and prepares documents for program execution and records retention.

Education And Experience Requirements
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2 5 years of relevant experience or 6 9 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge And Skills
- Previous work experience within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the middle east.
- Capable of working in a diverse team generating a collaborate work culture to support the wider project team.
- Candidates will be familiar with undertaking focused inspections, assessments, audits as required by the Project ES&H Director and or delegated Terminal HSE Manager.
- Leadership skills to enable a team to be successful coach, mentor, participate, direct.
- Attributes that openly display ESH as a personal value.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, targets and objectives.
- Knowledge of ES&H management systems.
- Knowledge of national and international safety laws/regulations and regulatory agencies’ regulatory requirements and responsibilities, industry standards/current practices for safety/health, and best management practices for minimizing potential safety/health risks during project execution.
- Knowledge of construction systems, methods, and work processes.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials and physical risks and the mechanisms to mitigate them.
- Skilled in oral and written communication, in English.
