Role Overview
The role monitors and executes purchasing and store activities across divisions so required products meet specifications and delivery times.
The position handles end-to-end general purchasing and civil construction material procurement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement compliant procurement policies, procedures, and strategies.
- Monitor replenishment spare requirements before procurement.
- Manage and coordinate the company e-procurement platform.
- Review and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
- Expand the vendor base with the material management department.
- Obtain cost-effective purchasing options without sacrificing quality.
- Supervise quote comparison activities and purchasing officers.
- Purchase civil construction materials according to project requirements.
- Coordinate with project and site teams for timely material delivery.
- Manage procurement arrangements and strategic supplier relationships.
- Coordinate with stores and quality control teams to ensure policy and specification compliance.
- Oversee annual inventory stocktake and prepare monthly cost-saving reports.
Qualifications
- A diploma or graduate qualification in an engineering-related academic field is required.
- At least five years of experience in general, spare parts, or civil construction material procurement management is required.
- Good client relations, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Candidates should know company procurement procedures and be proficient in data analysis and management.
