About the Role

Responsibilities
- Carry out day to day operations within the respective Operations Centre as directed by the Day Crew Supervisor
- Maintain a daily log of all activities conducted and ensure activities are completed as per the daily checklist
- Handle and transfer material, tools and equipment to the required location ensuring compliance with safety, environment and quality standards
- Carry out various routine procedures independently and cooperate with Production and Maintenance teams
- Participate in team pre start meeting to understand planned shift activities and ensure proper handover
- Report all accidents, incidents and near misses to the Day Crew Supervisor and assist in incident investigation
- Comply with set housekeeping standards and procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic Operations Centre
Requirements
- High School Diploma (completion of technical secondary school) with a relevant trade certification
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a production plant (e.g., alumina, gas, oil or petrochemical plants)
- Physical fitness and ability to work within plant work
- Basic knowledge of industrial processes / industrial background
- Knowledge of continuous process operations
- Ability to complete routine operations support tasks with minimal supervision
- Understanding of safety, quality and environmental management and control procedures
- Good communication skills
- Risk awareness
- Work under pressure with discretion, reliability and accuracy

Job Purpose
- To perform assigned routine operational tasks within the respective Operation Centre in compliance to established policies, procedures and standards, to ensure that work is completed according to plan, and supports the achievement of refinery targets.
Key Accountabilities
- Follows all relevant policies, processes, procedures and controls within the respective Operations Centre.
- Carries out day to day operations within the respective Operations Centre to ensure that work processes are implemented as directed by the Day Crew Supervisor.
- Receives daily direction from the Day Crew Supervisor on activities to be performed, and ensures work is completed in a timely and safe manner.
- Ensures timely escalation of any issues / problems to the Day Crew Supervisor.
- Maintains a daily log of all activities conducted, and ensures activities are completed as per the daily checklist.
- Handles and transfers material, tools and equipment to the required location ensuring compliance with safety, environment and quality standards.
- Carries out various routine procedures, independently, cooperates with the Production and Maintenance teams, and appropriately escalates problems.
- Participate in team pre start meeting to understand planned shift activities and ensure that issues requiring attention are appropriately handed over.
- Reports all accidents, incidents and near misses to the Day Crew Supervisor and assist in incident investigation.
- Complies with the set housekeeping standards and procedures.
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls.
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma (completion of technical secondary school) with a relevant trade certification.
- Minimum Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in a production plant is highly preferable (e.g. alumina, gas, oil or petrochemical plants).
- Physical fitness and ability to work within plant work.
- Basic knowledge of industrial processes / industrial background.
- Knowledge of continuous process operations.
- Ability to complete routine operations support tasks within the assigned Operations centre with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of safety, quality and environmental management and control procedures.
- Good communication skills.
- Risk awareness.
- Work under pressure with discretion, reliability and accuracy.
