Senior Operations Analyst, Physical Metals

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational processes for the physical gold trading business.
• Liaise with liquidity providers, refineries, vault operators, and physical suppliers.
• Coordinate physical bullion deliveries with vaults, refineries, and logistics providers.
• Oversee bullion transaction reconciliation with Finance and liquidity providers.
• Investigate operational issues, discrepancies, and client-related queries.
• Serve as the primary operational contact for gold trading activities.
• Prepare reporting and performance analysis covering operational metrics and market insights.
• Support funding and liquidity management for bullion transactions.
• Support the internal gold trading application with the technology team.
• Identify process improvement, automation, and operational risk mitigation opportunities.

Experience Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related subject.
• Have experience with a bullion trader, commodities desk, or physical metals trading operations.
• Know local bullion markets, including pricing, fixing, settlement, and global supply and demand dynamics.
• Have practical experience in deal booking, physical supply, settlement processes, and premium discount.
• Understand the physical bullion ecosystem in the UAE and regional markets.
• Have experience with refineries, vaults, liquidity providers, and physical metal suppliers.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
