About the Role

Equiti's Retail Operations department is seeking a detail-oriented Payments Officer.

The role is based in the Equiti office in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

Responsibilities

  • Process deposits through banks, e-banking, e-wallets, cards, and other payment service providers.
  • Process withdrawals through banks, e-banking, e-wallets, cards, and other payment service providers.
  • Process adjustments, indemnifications, credits, and other transactions.
  • Respond to client payment queries by phone and email using Zendesk.
  • Liaise with Sales to provide clients with suitable payment solutions.
  • Provide information about available payment providers and solutions.
  • Guide clients on using the portal to deposit, withdraw, or transfer funds between accounts.
  • Conduct identification, compliance, risk, and fraud checks for anti-money-laundering compliance.
  • Investigate missing payments and anomalies with banks and payment service providers.
  • Handle confidential information in accordance with data protection requirements.
  • Report technical errors and follow up on them.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Experience Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least two years of professional experience is required; financial services experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required.
  • High proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required.
