Role Overview
Lead HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection delivery for restaurant and F&B fit-out projects.
Manage the mechanical scope from technical review and authority approvals through site execution, testing, and handover.
Design and Authority Approvals
- Review and validate mechanical shop drawings, heat loads, and MEP submittals for F&B projects.
- Design and verify commercial kitchen ventilation, grease hoods, ecology units, and makeup air systems.
- Manage submissions and approvals with DM, DDA, Civil Defence, Emaar, Nakheel, and MAF.
Site Execution and Coordination
- Coordinate with interior designers, project managers, and MEP subcontractors to resolve technical clashes.
- Oversee HVAC, water supply, LPG routing, and kitchen drainage installations.
- Conduct site inspections for compliance with approved drawings, safety, and QA/QC standards.
Commissioning and Handover
- Lead testing, adjusting, and balancing for HVAC and kitchen extract systems.
- Oversee testing and commissioning of mechanical, gas, and Ansul fire suppression systems.
- Deliver final as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and authority close-outs.
Key Requirements
- At least six years of UAE MEP fit-out experience delivering restaurant and F&B projects.
- Expert knowledge of kitchen extraction, ecology units, grease interceptors, and local authority codes including ASHRAE, NFPA, DM, and DDA.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).
- UAE Society of Engineers membership is required; Municipality or Civil Defence approval is preferred.
