- Innovate and scale the GenAI operating model by developing new delivery frameworks and reusable assets
- Mentor junior colleagues and foster a collaborative team culture around innovative AI methodologies
Requirements
- 10+ years leading data driven strategies and delivering measurable outcomes, preferably in financial services, payments, or card issuing
- Hands on experience developing and deploying GenAI use cases from end to end, including tools with open source LLM models
- Demonstrated history of publishing, speaking at conferences, or driving innovative AI solutions
- Excellent executive level presentation skills and ability to translate complex AI concepts for non technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern technology project management practices
- Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem and key operational challenges relevant to card issuers
- Experience managing direct reports and/or cross functional teams with a track record of mentoring talent
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields; Master's degree strongly preferred

Position Overview
- Reporting to the Principal and working closely with the Mastercard AI team, the Senior Managing Consultant / Director role will spearhead GenAI driven consulting engagements for clients—especially card issuers and other financial services organizations.
- You will lead multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, ML engineers, and business strategists to develop long term strategies to build GenAI solutions and implement GenAI solutions that transform how clients approach analytics, automation, and value generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop GenAI Driven Strategies for Business Impact: Identify high impact opportunities, quantify value potential, architect end to end solutions, secure executive alignment, scale initiatives.
- Lead Rapid, Iterative GenAI Delivery: Partner with engineering leaders, oversee roadmaps, collaborate with business leaders, drive balanced problem solving, augment client teams.
- Expand Thought Leadership & External Network: Publish and present, build external network, advise on AI ethics and governance, elevate firm’s reputation.
- Innovate & Scale the GenAI Operating Model: Develop new delivery frameworks, codify best practices, mentor junior colleagues, champion cross functional collaboration.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 10+ years leading data driven strategies and delivering measurable outcomes (preferably in financial services, payments, or card issuing).
- GenAI Hands on experience: Developed and deployed GenAI use cases with proven value from end to end. Developed tools with open source LLM models (e.g., Deepseek, Llama).
- Thought Leadership: Demonstrated history of publishing, speaking at conferences, or driving innovative AI solutions.
- Communication: Excellent executive level presentation skills and ability to translate complex AI concepts for non technical stakeholders.
- Agile Mindset: Familiarity with agile methodologies, iterative development, and modern technology project management practices.
- Financial Services Domain: Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem and key operational challenges relevant to card issuers.
- Leadership: Experience managing direct reports and/or cross functional teams, with a track record of mentoring talent and building high performing groups.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in computer science, engineering, or related fields; Master’s degree or equivalent advanced study strongly preferred.
