About the Role
Emirates Global Aluminium is seeking a Senior Manager - Safety to plan and manage safety control strategies across plant operations. You will develop policies, lead incident investigations, supervise training, and ensure compliance with international standards.

Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the implementation of departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls for Safety
- Lead the day to day operations of Safety department to ensure work processes are implemented as designed
- Lead significant incidents investigations and review reports summarizing investigation results
- Supervise the identification, planning, organising and conducting of Safety training courses
- Supervise all maintenance and testing of Safety protection systems throughout the plant
- Provide safety technical specialist advice and supervise routine evaluations of the workplace
- Supervise the activities and work of subordinates
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 6 8 years relevant experience in EHS in a similar manufacturing industry
- At least 4 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
- Thorough knowledge of Safety management systems, auditing, international Health & safety standards
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Preferably an accreditation or membership to a recognised association

Job Purpose

Key Accountabilities
- Develops and oversees the implementation of departmental, policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of the Safety department.
- Leads the day to day operations of Safety department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
- Leads significant incidents investigations and Reviews and/or directs the preparation of reports summarizing investigation results and recommends required actions.
- Supervises the Identification, planning, organising and conducting a wide range of Safety training courses to all levels within the organisation.
- Supervise all maintenance and testing of Safety protection systems throughout the plant to ensure their operational readiness.
- Provide safety technical specialist advice and supervise routine evaluations of the workplace.
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls.
- Supervises the activities and work of subordinates by providing formal and informal feedback.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Preferably an accreditation or membership to a recognised association.
- 6 8 years relevant experience in EHSFS in a similar manufacturing industry including at least 4 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
- Thorough knowledge of Safety management systems, knowledge of auditing system design & implementation, international Health & safety standards and general knowledge of legal aspects in relation to Safety.
- Ability to organize as well as to carry out tasks through to completion.
- Excellent communicator.
- Excellent written and spoken English and proven ability in the writing of procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer focused skills.
- Excellent time management and priority setting skills.
