Senior Financial Analyst

Role Summary

Accounting and Reporting

• Maintain day-to-day accounting operations and record sales, purchases, expenses, and inventory transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers.
• Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Ensure accurate monthly and annual closing of accounts.
• Prepare profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports and ensure timely, accurate internal and external financial information.

Analysis and Planning

• Analyze sales performance by product category, showroom, and region.
• Monitor gross margins, overheads, operational costs, inventory turnover, slow-moving stock, and working capital metrics.
• Perform actual-versus-budget variance analysis.
• Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
• Support data-driven decision-making with financial insights.
• Develop Power BI dashboards for reporting and analysis.

Controls and Improvement

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations, including GST and TDS.
• Assist in annual internal and statutory audits.
• Maintain proper documentation and accounting records.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.

Functional and Technical Competencies

• Advanced Excel expertise, including Power Query and Power Pivot, is required.
• Proficiency in SAP and S/4HANA is essential, with hands-on experience in other enterprise accounting systems.
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is required.
• Working knowledge of Power BI for dynamic dashboards, reporting, and analysis is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

• A qualification in accounting or finance, such as CIMA, ACCA, or Inter CA, is requested.
• The role requests four to seven years of finance and accounting experience.
• The experience section states at least seven years in financial management, dashboard creation, accounting, and business analysis.
• Three years of retail-sector experience is stated for candidates.
