Role Summary
Oversee international freight and logistics operations with a focus on cost efficiency, compliance, and service excellence.
Evaluate logistics models, drive cost savings, improve processes through data, and manage vendor and team performance.
Support import and export operations across GCC/MENA.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify cost-saving and process-enhancement opportunities using structured, data-driven decision making.
- Run cost simulations, advise internal stakeholders, and monitor team and vendor KPIs.
- Manage international freight teams and oversee GCC/MENA import and export operations.
- Work with logistics service providers to develop efficient logistics solutions.
- Guide and mentor teams, set measurable KPIs, and lead cost and efficiency improvement projects.
Functional and Technical Competencies
- Freight management experience.
- Cost optimization, vendor management, process improvement, and logistics service provider management.
- Data-driven analysis, KPI management, and logistics cost modeling.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- MBA in supply chain is an added advantage.
- Certification in supply chain management.
- Eight to twelve years of progressive transportation and international logistics experience, including freight management.
- Strong GCC/MENA import and export, customs, and compliance exposure.
- Extensive ocean freight and import/export shipping operations experience is required.
