Responsibilities
- Perform complex field service tasks, identify technical problems, and make analysis through remote or on site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform
- Plan and prepare site work for larger project team and manage related subcontractors at site
- Contribute to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations
- Ensure customer retention by delivering superior customer experience and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations
- Take actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB, in close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams
- Coach technicians and engineers and supervise complex site activities
Requirements
- Graduate Engineer in instrumentation, Electrical or Equivalent Engineering degree
- Minimum 8 years of experience with at least 5 years as customer support / project / service engineer of System 800xA based safety systems
- Good hands on experience in system 800xA based integrated control and safety system (both hardware and software) with AC800MHI library based application development
- Knowledge of FSMS (functional safety management system) is a must have
- Valid Functional Safety certifications preferred such as TUV FS engineer, ABB certifications
- Knowledge of Functional safety technical standards IEC61511, IEC61508 and corresponding system engineering practice experience
- Hands on Experience in Industrial networking, network switch configuration
- Hands on experience in Cyber security for 800xA based systems
- Hands on Experience in industrial communication protocols like Modbus RTU & TCP, OPC

Your Role And Responsibilities
- In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and ABB guidelines.
- Each day, you will deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers.
- You will also showcase your expertise by working with customer to identify opportunities in the installed base, to improve system performance and operational performance.
- The work model for the role is: Onsite.
Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

- Must have minimum 8 years of experience of at least 5 years as customer support / project / service engineer of System 800xA based safety systems preferably in Oil & Gas / Power & Water industry.
- Good hands on experience in system 800xA based integrated control and safety system (both hardware and software) is a Must have with AC800MHI library based application development – project & commissioning.
- Knowledge of FSMS (functional safety management system) is a Must have for this role and valid Functional Safety certifications preferred such as TUV FS engineer, ABB certifications etc.
