Responsibilities
- Execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and ABB guidelines for Distributed Control Systems / Safety Systems / Substation Automation Systems
- Contribute to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations
- Perform complex field service tasks, identify and resolve high level technical problems through remote or on site activity
- Plan and prepare site work for larger project team and manage related subcontractors at site
- Coach technicians and engineers and supervise complex site activities
- Identify improvement needs and drive improvement actions in own area of responsibility
- Identify new service business opportunities for ABB in cooperation with customer and other ABB teams
Requirements
- Hands on and extensive field services experience in Automation industry
- Highly skilled in ABB 800xA with AC800M/Symphony Plus (S+) systems
- Over 5 years of experience in the automation field, working in ICSS and/or PMS/SCMS systems with ABB control systems
- Proficient in industrial communication protocols like IEC 61850, Modbus, Profibus, OPC, IEC 101, IEC 104
- Enhanced knowledge of ABB 800xA with AC 800M/Symphony Plus, and industrial networking and cybersecurity solutions for control systems
- Degree in Engineering with demonstrated expertise in automation systems and process applications across Oil & Gas and Power & Water industries
- Effective communication in English

Role Overview
- Execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and ABB guidelines for Distributed Control Systems / Safety Systems / Substation Automation Systems with expertise in 800xA with AC 800M, ABB Infi90/S+ and/or other ABB Control Systems.
- Deliver excellent customer service and identify opportunities in the installed base to improve system performance.
- Work model: Onsite in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Role contributes to Automation Energy Industries division.

Qualifications For The Role
- Hands on and extensive field services experience in Automation industry is a must.
