Role Overview

Roles and Responsibilities

• Test IT application controls, information produced by the entity, and interface controls through code reviews.
• Review IT general controls covering change management, access management, backup management, incident and problem management, SDLC, data migration, batch-job scheduling and monitoring, and business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Assist with risk assessments and the identification and evaluation of controls.
• Prepare process-flow diagrams and document controls in risk and control matrices.
• Perform business-process walkthroughs and controls testing for IT audits.
• Plan and execute SOX, internal, external, and management audits.
• Prepare and review policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
• Manage service expectations with management and the manager, including work products, timing, and deliverables.
• Evaluate complex information systems and their impacts on audit work.
• Coordinate with engagement managers and management on project progress.
• Collaborate with team members to plan engagements and develop workpapers and deliverables.

Role Requirements

• BE, BTech, MTech, MCA, or BCA with approximately 2–4 years of related work experience, or a master's or MBA degree in business, computer science, information systems, or engineering.
• Experience performing IT audits of financial-sector applications.
• Knowledge of IT regulations, standards, and benchmarks such as SOX, COBIT, or SSAE 18/ISAE 3402 is desirable.
• Experience carrying out operating system, database, and network reviews.
• Exposure to risk management and governance frameworks or systems is an added advantage.
• Exposure to multiple ERP systems is an added advantage.
• Experience performing technical code reviews by understanding code logic against business requirements.
• Strong project management, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Self-directed work habits demonstrating initiative, drive, creativity, maturity, self-assurance, and professionalism.
• CISA certification is preferred.
