Team and Role
The Ethics & Compliance team role designs and implements policies, procedures, and controls for employment-law compliance.
The position serves as a strategic compliance partner to Human Resources on employment and labour requirements.
Employment Compliance Programs
- Design policies, guidelines, procedures, and controls covering hiring, wages, discrimination, harassment, workplace violence, accessibility, and other employment obligations.
- Monitor compliance programs, systems, training, metrics, and operational processes across the enterprise.
- Drive cross-functional alignment, identify compliance gaps, and recommend process or policy improvements.
Regulatory and Risk Management
- Articulate corporate compliance positions to regulators and external agencies and lead regulatory outreach meetings.
- Monitor emerging regulations and develop strategies to address compliance risks.
- Manage compliance risk identification, monitoring, assessments, action plans, and control recommendations.
Communications and Implementation
- Coordinate compliance communications, alerts, educational tools, and training with relevant teams.
- Support implementation of changes arising from new laws, notifications, regulations, and circulars.
Labour Law Administration
- Interpret labour and employment law changes, including new labour-code frameworks.
- Draft and vet statutory notices, support representations to authorities, and maintain market and global reporting MIS.
- Ensure contractor compliance with applicable legislation and support Labour Codes implementation.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of experience in technology, product, e-commerce, or consulting organizations driving employment compliance.
- Experience managing employment law compliance programs and strong communication, detail orientation, and process orientation.
Additional Qualification
- International labour law knowledge is an additional advantage.
