About the Role
Bechtel seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer (HV/MV) for the Expo 2030 Riyadh infrastructure program. You will supervise and manage designers and contractors for HV/MV electrical systems design, including substations, switchgear, earthing, and lightning protection.

- Supervise and manage customer designers and contractors in the delivery of infrastructure HV/MV electrical systems design
- Review technical submissions from designers and contractors relating to electrical systems
- Support Contracts & Procurement in design delivery for procurement and post tender technical evaluation
- Monitor and report on progress and performance of customer's designers and contractors
- Coordinate with Stakeholder Management team to ensure timely permits and approvals
- Support Construction & Quality delivery teams during execution of works for infrastructure electrical systems
- Support vendor factory testing and inspections for electrical systems
- Support Start Up/Commissioning team to ensure hand over requirements are addressed early
- Coordinate electrical systems design with other project disciplines
- Undertake audits, reports, and present findings on application of engineering processes and policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering
- 10+ years of relevant experience in big infrastructure projects
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems design including HV/MV power supplies, substations, switchgear, earthing, lightning protection, standby power, and lighting
- In depth understanding of local and international codes (NFPA, IBC, Saudi Building Code, NG, SEC)
- Proven experience on large scale infrastructure, utility, or public event/venue projects
- Experience working and coordinating with multiple design consultants in a schedule driven environment
- Working knowledge of BIM platforms (Revit, Navisworks) and electrical design simulation tools (ETP, DIALux)
- Ability to review and validate electrical engineering documentation, drawings, and technical specifications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and resolve complex technical challenges proactively

Project Overview
- Expo 2030 Riyadh is a global platform under the theme 'Foresight for Tomorrow', promoting sustainable development and innovation.
- The 6 km² Masterplan includes exhibition space of 491,100 m² GFA for up to 197 countries and 29 international organizations.
- Bechtel manages the infrastructure program including early works, utilities, and public spaces, transitioning to a mixed use legacy development.
Job Summary
- Report to the Electrical Design Manager, accountable for supervising and managing customer designers and contractors for infrastructure electrical systems design.
- Prepare estimates, work plans, progress reports, and assist with tender, evaluation, and award recommendations for MEP contractors.
- Coordinate with vertical assets delivery teams, Stakeholder Management, Contracts & Procurement, and Start Up/Commissioning.

Education And Experience Requirements
