A Tier 1 Dubai real estate developer is seeking a Senior Design Manager for high-end luxury residential, hospitality, and mixed-use developments across the UAE.
The role leads projects and manages the full design process from concept through delivery while maintaining design vision, quality, and project objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the full design lifecycle from concept and schematic design through detailed design, tender, construction, and handover.
- Represent the client on design matters and manage consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across architecture, structural, MEP, interiors, landscape, and specialist consultants.
- Lead design reviews and workshops, resolve issues, and manage programmes, deliverables, approvals, changes, and risks.
- Oversee tender and construction documentation and align design with programme, budget, and buildability.
- Manage consultant performance, design quality, optimisation, value engineering, and compliance with UAE requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to internal design and project team members.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in architecture, design, or design management.
- Experience with a leading international or Tier 1 design consultancy or developer is preferred.
- Experience managing the full design lifecycle through construction and handover.
- Background in high-end luxury residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or large-scale developments.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants and leading design teams.
- Strong client-facing, stakeholder management, and design leadership skills.
- UAE experience is highly desirable.
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a relevant design discipline.
