Role Overview
Recruiting a Commercial Manager on behalf of a leading contractor delivering major Oil & Gas projects across the region.
The role provides ownership of commercial strategy and delivery across large-scale, high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial function across major Oil & Gas projects and ensure commercial and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage contract administration, variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Oversee cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff.
- Manage subcontractor accounts, procurement input, and final account close-out.
- Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and senior stakeholders on all commercial matters.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and advise senior management accordingly.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 12–15 years of experience in a commercial role within Oil & Gas or EPC construction projects.
- Proven experience with a Tier 1 contractor on major projects.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC and/or NEC contract forms.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
