Canva's Data Scientists are embedded across product, business, and operations teams.
The data science community partners with stakeholders to make Canva more effective, efficient, and impactful through data.
The role may involve improving decisions or building scalable experimentation platforms.
What You'll Be Doing
- Partner with teams across Canva to influence strategic decisions through data.
- Design and analyse A/B tests and other experiments that drive product and business outcomes.
- Build data models, dashboards, and tooling that help teams scale insights.
- Define and forecast key metrics to track progress and surface opportunities.
- Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Mentor others and contribute best practices to the broader data community.
You're Probably a Match If
- You have a proven track record of using data to drive impact across products or business units.
- You write complex SQL and work with large-scale datasets.
- You think strategically, solve ambiguous problems, and use data to simplify complexity.
- You communicate and tell stories effectively for varied audiences.
- You have experience with experimentation, event instrumentation, and data warehousing.
- You have worked with Python or R and have a strong foundation in statistics or a STEM field.
- You are familiar with product funnels and growth accounting.
- You value data accuracy and integrity.
