About the role
The Engineering Manager will lead a team building custom software for a high-quality support experience while overseeing customer data security considerations.
The team is enabling AI systems to resolve customer problems through local workflows and automated solutions.
The team operates an MCP server that provides a consistent data and policy platform and partners across the business to standardize AI-enabled support.
Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor, and grow engineers while fostering psychological safety and innovation.
- Lead technical strategy and roadmap development with program, enablement, and engineering teams.
- Drive team goal planning and refinement across platform robustness, enablement, and engineering practices.
- Facilitate collaboration from spikes and MVPs through full integration on a common foundation.
- Champion engineering quality, AI governance, and contribution standards.
- Align prioritization and resourcing with User Voice leadership.
What we are looking for
- Experienced engineering manager with a proven record of leading teams and delivering at scale.
- Strong backend engineering depth and the ability to make sound architectural decisions.
- Genuine interest in AI and LLM-powered products and their practical application at scale.
- Ability to balance reliability, scalability, governance, and product outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining platform work as business value and building stakeholder trust.
