Responsibilities
- Apply a range of data science techniques to large data sets, from development to deployment support
- Work with data engineers and developers to build and deploy interactive dashboards
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
- Conduct customer trials to grow open banking impact, supporting data specification, processing, and analysis
- Proactively investigate new data sources, encourage cross team working, and manage projects to schedules
- Develop and implement team methods for rapid prototyping, reproducibility, productivity, automation, and data governance
- Engage with the wider Mastercard data science community to share best practice and insights
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar field
- Multi project hands on experience in end to end data science process with large, complex data
- Real world experience developing and deploying interactive dashboards using Plotly Dash
- Workplace Python coding experience with principal Python Data Science/ML library ecosystem
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical and non technical audiences
- Experience with time series and NLP methods (topic modelling, named entity recognition)
- Practical knowledge of solution deployment (data science pipelines, MLOps frameworks)
- Experience working in financial services with respect to consumer and/or business lending

Overview
- The International, Open Banking, Product Value Proposition Team is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to develop and drive forward Mastercard’s data driven open banking solutions.
Specifically In This Position, You Will
- Apply a range of problem appropriate data science techniques to large data sets, from development to deployment support.
- Work closely with data engineers and developers to build and deploy interactive dashboards.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their requirements are fully understood and met.
- Conduct effective customer trials to grow our open banking impact.
- Be highly proactive in pursuit of product excellence.
- Help to develop, implement and honour effective, engaging team methods.
- Engage with the wider Mastercard data science community.
All About You
- An undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar field.

- Real world experience of developing and deploying interactive dashboards based on Plotly’s Dash framework.

Pay Ranges
- Salt Lake City, Utah: $115,000 $184,000 USD
