Overview
Aramco is seeking a Corporate and Commercial Contracts Counsel for the General Corporate and Commercial Contracts Practice Area within its Law Organization.
The practice team manages legal, general commercial, and corporate governance issues primarily from a shareholder and governance perspective.
The Counsel provides comprehensive corporate and commercial legal services and coordinates with internal, specialist, and external legal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as corporate secretary for one or more entities and manage board meetings and governance advice.
- Advise on shareholder issues and the relationship between entities, the parent, and affiliates.
- Support complex contracting and purchasing functions by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Handle EPC, construction, O&M, BOO/BOOT, service, and related commercial contracts.
- Advise on internal policies, resolve claims, and train personnel on legal and compliance matters.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Law degree is required; a Master or Juris degree is preferred.
- Current admission to general practice before the highest court of the relevant state or country is required.
- At least seven years of hands-on experience in a large multinational corporation or law firm is required.
- Relevant commercial contracts experience is required.
- Experience serving as corporate secretary to a sophisticated board is required.
- Experience supporting internal clients clearly and concisely is required.
- Energy, construction, or international experience is an advantage.
Work Location and Schedule
- Work location is within Saudi Arabia, with the specific location to be stated in the job offer.
