Overview
Aramco is seeking a Senior Counsel for the Corporate Functions Law Department within its Business Law Organization.
The department provides broad legal services to corporate functions including procurement, supply chain, project management, HR, finance, strategy, technology, and innovation.
The Senior Counsel provides primary legal support on contracts, transactions, affiliate matters, portfolio management, corporate governance, and contentious matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal clients and provide sector-relevant legal insight.
- Advise senior leadership and provide day-to-day corporate and commercial legal support.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and governance instruments.
- Coordinate specialist legal input and provide consolidated advice to clients.
- Serve as corporate secretary, manage board meetings, and advise on governance matters when required.
- Advise on shareholder issues and relationships among entities, the parent, and affiliates.
- Advise on policies, resolve claims, and train personnel on legal and compliance matters.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Law degree is required.
- Master or Juris degree is preferred.
- Current admission to general practice before the highest court of the relevant state or country is required.
- At least seven years of hands-on experience in a large multinational corporation or law firm is required.
- Corporate and commercial legal experience is required.
- Experience serving as corporate secretary to a sophisticated board is required.
- Experience supporting internal clients clearly and concisely is required.
- Energy, construction, or international experience is a plus.
Work Location and Schedule
- Work location is within Saudi Arabia, with the specific location to be stated in the job offer.
