Overview

Aramco is seeking a Legal Counsel to join the General Corporate and Commercial Law Department within the Aramco Law Organization.

The practice team manages general commercial, corporate governance, and shareholder matters for company entities.

The Counsel will provide corporate and commercial legal services and coordinate with internal, specialist, and external legal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as corporate secretary for one or more entities when required, organizing board meetings and advising on authority and governance.
  • Advise on shareholder issues and manage interfaces between entities, the parent company, and affiliates.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate EPC, construction, O&M, BOO/BOOT, service, and other commercial contracts.
  • Advise on internal policies, review and resolve claims, and train personnel on legal and compliance matters.
  • Coordinate with specialist legal teams covering tax, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, and dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Law degree as a minimum; a Master or Juris Doctor degree is preferred.
  • Current admission to general practice before the highest court of the state or country of citizenship or residence.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a sophisticated law firm or major corporation.
  • Relevant commercial contracts experience.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience providing concise and clear support to internal clients.
  • Prior Corporate Secretary to a Board of Directors experience is highly desirable.
  • Energy, construction, or international experience is a plus.

Work Location and Schedule
