  • The Senior Autonomy Designer (Product Owner) is the tactical product leader embedded with an Agile delivery team.

What You Will Do

  • Own and maintain the team backlog, ensuring work items are structured, prioritized, and continuously refined.
  • Ensure Features and Stories have sufficient clarity for implementation.
  • Drive backlog hygiene and traceability.
  • Lead and/or coordinate backlog refinement to prepare work for upcoming sprints.
  • During sprint planning, present highest priority work and facilitate conversation.
  • Provide ongoing clarification during execution.
  • Act as the team's primary day to day interface for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate priority conflicts and dependency impacts with peer teams.
  • Be accountable for Story acceptance.
  • Ensure validation evidence is captured appropriately.
  • Maintain delivery visibility by keeping planned work accurately represented.
  • Key working relationships with Delivery Team, Scrum Master, Product/Program Leadership, and Stakeholders.

What You Have (Basic Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electrical, software, computer) or equivalent experience.
  • Fluency in English and French (both written and spoken) is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organization's industry group.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for resolving problems.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Knowledge of software development life cycle.
  • Software Product Testing: Knowledge of software product testing.
  • Application Development Tools: Knowledge of application and system development.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Knowledge of AI concepts, technologies and methodologies.
  • Programming: Knowledge of relevant programming languages and tools.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches.

What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and optimize a product backlog.
  • Strong track record of operating within Agile frameworks.
  • Confident in managing work items within delivery tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Experience within mining operations and/or familiarity with MineStar product suite is advantageous.

Summary Pay Range

  • CAD 108,400.00 CAD 135,500.00 per year.

Additional Information

  • Location: Laval, QC (Canada).
  • Required Travel: Up to 10% (International).
  • This position requires working onsite at the Laval, QC office.
  • Visa Sponsorship is not available.
