We’re looking for a driven and experienced

Senior Associate – QHSE

to lead and elevate our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental practices across our operations.

Job Purpose

The Senior Associate – QHSE is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the organization’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems.

The role ensures compliance with operational safety, food safety, and environmental standards across all facilities and new assets, while supporting design reviews to integrate QHSE requirements from the early stages of development.

3.1 QHSE System Development & Implementation

  • Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with international standards and organizational objectives.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and internal audits to identify hazards, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant QHSE laws, regulations, and standards.

3.2 Operational Safety & On-Ground Compliance

  • Conduct daily and periodic site inspections to ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide on-site guidance and support to operational teams on QHSE compliance and best practices.
  • Supervise sanitization and housekeeping activities to maintain high hygiene and safety standards.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and implement corrective and preventive actions.

3.3 Design Review & New Projects

  • Participate in design reviews of new assets and facilities to ensure QHSE requirements are integrated from the planning stage.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and plans to assess compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

3.4 Training & Awareness

  • Plan, conduct, and document QHSE training sessions, including food safety, health & safety induction, emergency preparedness, and hygiene practices.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through awareness campaigns and continuous staff engagement.

3.5 Audit, Reporting & Documentation

  • Support internal and external QHSE audits and inspections, ensuring timely closure of findings.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inspections, incidents, and audit outcomes with recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain QHSE records, documentation, and performance data for compliance and reporting purposes.

3.6 Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, consultants, contractors, and service providers on QHSE matters.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Operations, and Business Excellence teams to resolve non-conformities and improve QHSE performance.
  • Support ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (mandatory).
  • 5.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a QHSE role.
  • Experience in facilities management, hospitality, or catering operations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC QHSE regulations, including food safety and HSE requirements.

6. Competencies and Skills

  • Strong expertise in risk assessment, auditing, and incident investigation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

7. Additional Requirements

  • Valid UAE/GCC driving license (required for site visits).
