Investigate potential fixed-asset impairment, calculate asset retirement obligations, and review asset disposals.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop policies, procedures, and controls for efficient fixed-asset physical verification reviews.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and record acquisition, disposal, transfer, retirement, depreciation, accumulated depreciation, and revaluation information.
- Follow relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Help solve escalated problems and support junior team members.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent field is required.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.
Competencies
- Information systems knowledge, collaboration and communication, professionalism, accounting standards and practices, and results orientation.
- Asset management and financial reporting and control are identified at a proficient level.
- Customer focus, change and innovation, risk assessment and management, and financial planning and analysis are also listed competencies.
