SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (F&B)

Job Summary

Accounting and Reporting

• Prepare and review balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate transaction recording.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Present accurate and timely financial reports and insights to management.

Compliance and Controls

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in preparing tax returns.
• Assist with internal and external audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and financial-data integrity.
• Stay current with financial regulations and accounting standards.

Planning and Analysis

• Assist with budgets and forecasts and provide insights supporting financial targets.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with working-capital management.
• Analyze trends, variances, and improvement areas and recommend cost reductions and process improvements.
• Oversee cost allocation and maintain accounting systems and software.

Team and Payroll Support

• Supervise junior accountants and provide guidance, training, and development.
• Support payroll processing in coordination with the HR department.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• A master’s degree or CPA, ACCA, or CMA qualification is a plus.
• At least five years of experience as a Senior Accountant is required.
• At least three years of F&B industry experience is required.

F&B Accounting Knowledge

• Experience with F&B accounting processes, including food cost analysis, inventory control, and revenue recognition.
• Expertise in general ledger entries, reconciliations, and F&B financial statement preparation.
• Strong experience managing accounts payable and receivable for multiple F&B outlets.
• Knowledge of F&B accounting standards, tax compliance, and regulations is required.
• Familiarity with standard costing and food and beverage margin and profitability analysis.
• Experience preparing F&B management reports, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Familiarity with F&B POS, inventory management, and hospitality financial systems is advantageous.
• Experience conducting financial audits and maintaining accurate financial records.
