Accounting Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and banking.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations in SAP.
- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle and follow up on overdue payments.
- Prepare customer statements of account and enforce approved credit terms.
- Process verified vendor payments according to agreed terms.
- Verify supplier invoices against job costing before payment.
- Ensure timely invoicing of all jobs.
- Monitor job closing in SAP with complete cost and revenue capture.
- Review job profitability and identify low- or negative-margin shipments.
- Post journal entries for monthly closing and assist with monthly and annual account finalization.
Tax, Controls, and Reporting
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns through the FTA portal within deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, and audit requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit-ready records.
- Manage petty cash with complete supporting documentation.
- Prepare MIS reports covering AR aging, AP aging, job profitability, and cash flow.
- Coordinate with operations and sales on invoicing and collections.
- Enforce internal controls and report discrepancies immediately.
- Maintain accurate SAP B1 entries and records.
- Use Excel VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables for reporting and analysis.
- Work with management on financial and operational matters.
Qualifications and Experience
- B.Com or M.Com degree is required.
- At least three years of experience with shipping and freight-forwarding companies in the UAE is required.
- The role requires high accountability, accuracy, discipline, and adherence to deadlines.
Work Location
- The position is performed in person.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 3,500–AED 5,000 per month.
Employment Type
- The position is full-time.
