Role overview
The Security Manager supports the safety and security of guests, employees, and property at Banyan Tree Doha.
The role covers security strategies, emergency preparedness, loss prevention, fire and life safety, and compliance with hotel standards and legal requirements.
Security operations
- Assist with hotel security policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Supervise patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, incident reporting, and loss prevention.
- Control back-of-house access for contractors, suppliers, and visitors and manage visitor passes.
- Maintain confidential security records and investigations and review daily security logs and reports.
- Escalate critical issues promptly to the Security Manager.
Emergency and fire safety
- Ensure readiness for emergency situations under hotel procedures.
- Coordinate safety and firefighting equipment inspections and preventive maintenance with Engineering.
- Maintain emergency manuals, fire and safety procedures, and crisis management plans.
- Conduct fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency simulations.
Authorities and training
- Maintain relationships with local Police, Fire Brigade, and relevant authorities and conduct courtesy visits.
- Train employees on security awareness and emergency responsibilities.
- Provide Security team training in fire prevention, basic firefighting, life-saving techniques, crime scene preservation, crisis response, report writing, guest interaction, psychology, and public relations.
- Coordinate continuous technical and skills training with Human Resources and Learning and Development.
Compliance expectations
- The role requires compliance with hotel policies, operational standards, legal requirements, and the Integrated Management System.
