Sanitation Technician - 2nd Shift

Role Overview

Pay

• The base rate is $20.45 per hour.
• Overtime may be required, and additional compensation may apply for on-call or other qualifying work as determined by the employer.

Shift and Schedule

• This is a rotating second-shift position under a 7-2-3-2 schedule, with work required every Sunday.
• Typical hours are approximately 2:45 PM to 11:00 PM, with starting times and hours varying based on coverage, holidays, and production needs.
• Mandatory overtime may be required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize process equipment and maintain plant housekeeping according to the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Operate powered and non-mechanized cleaning equipment, including lifts, power washers, steamers, compactors, floor jacks, vacuums, and scrubbers.
• Disassemble and reassemble processing equipment such as machines, pumps, bucket elevators, slurry equipment, and filters.
• Follow allergen elimination, GMP, safety, hygiene, OSHA, hearing-protection, and PPE procedures.
• Read Safety Data Sheets and handle chemical cleaning agents and concentrates according to manufacturer recommendations.
• Assist with spill containment, pest activity reporting, debris removal, recycling, 5S initiatives, and Standard Operating Procedure updates.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or one year of production experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Good attendance and punctuality are required.
• The role requires frequent climbing, stooping, kneeling, handling materials, and working around mechanical equipment, chemicals, noise, and wet or humid conditions.

Work Environment

• The plant is loud, and hearing protection is required in production areas.
• The work may involve moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, high places, outdoor weather, and extreme heat or cold.
