Role Overview
Material Handler II role focused on truck loading, receiving paperwork, inventory movement, and safe forklift operation in a food-production environment.
Responsibilities
- Load trucks accurately and on time according to load charts.
- Process bills of lading, sales orders, and pre-load inspection forms.
- Perform product consolidations and BIN transfers.
- Operate and inspect a stand-up forklift before use.
- Perform inventory cycle counts.
- Follow SOPs, GMPs, safety, PPE, USDA, and FDA requirements.
- Complete product quality and production-area safety procedures.
- Perform other duties and assignments from the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Six months of warehouse material-handling experience.
- Stand-up forklift driving ability and forklift-driver certification.
- Ability to work in freezer conditions and stand for long periods.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous inventory-control experience, including SAP experience, is desirable.
- Bilingual ability is a plus.
Work Environment
- The role requires extended periods in a freezer environment and travel throughout production areas.
- The position involves prolonged standing and handling heavy loads.
Compensation
- Starting pay is $18.55 per hour plus a $0.50 night-shift differential.
- The position is full time and includes health, dental, 401(k), and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
