Job Summary
Operate food packaging equipment safely, timely, and efficiently.
Maintain product quality, equipment performance, sanitation, and compliance with safety requirements.
Core Responsibilities
- Produce the required product according to production line demands.
- Ensure products meet specifications for seals, printing, and overall quality.
- Perform equipment setup, adjustment, changeover, lubrication, and sanitation.
- Monitor equipment and report malfunctions, hazards, and quality deviations.
- Follow GMPs, USDA guidelines, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform light preventive maintenance.
- Report to the workstation on time with required PPE.
Requirements
- Understand safe operation of equipment with moving parts.
- Follow proper operating procedures for packaging equipment.
- Communicate effectively and use basic math and a calculator.
- Stand, reach, and occasionally climb steps or stairs; lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift 20 to 40 pounds.
- Work effectively with others and meet production and quality demands.
- Work with minimum supervision and conduct light preventive maintenance.
