Position Overview

Temporary part-time Registered Nurse replacement position at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

The role supports Outpatient Clinics covering GI, GU, thoracic, sarcoma, and CNS services and reports to a Nurse Manager.

One vacancy is available.

Compensation

  • The wage range is $41.15 to $58.98 per hour.
  • The starting rate is non-negotiable.

Schedule

  • The position is 15 hours per week.
  • Shifts are Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • The contract end date is September 3, 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, collaborative, and competent nursing care using clinical knowledge, nursing theory, skills, and critical decision-making.
  • Ensure practice follows College of Nurses of Ontario standards, ethical frameworks, and UHN policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuing education and reflective practice to improve nursing and patient care quality.
  • Float to different clinics within the POD and perform assigned cross-functional responsibilities.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate care using the nursing process.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
  • Oncology nursing experience is required.
  • Current B.C.L.S. certification is required.
  • Ability to float to different clinics within the POD is required.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • Certificate in Oncology Nursing and/or CNA Oncology Certification is preferred.
  • At least three years of ambulatory nursing experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, independent working, patient teaching, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills are required.
