Role Overview
Parsons is seeking a RAMS Lead to support complex rail infrastructure and rolling-stock systems.
The role covers reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety assurance across the system lifecycle.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and challenge contractor RAMS delivery and report delivery issues.
- Calculate failure rates and develop Reliability Block Diagrams and availability models.
- Set subsystem and vendor equipment targets and incorporate them into RAMS requirements.
- Develop maintainability analyses and support inspection and test plan implementation.
- Lead safety discussions with project teams, engineering staff, contractors, and customers.
- Interpret contractual safety requirements and ensure required analyses are completed.
- Perform FMEA, FTA, hazard analyses, and other safety assessments.
- Track hazards and safety requirements in a database.
- Coordinate system-safety efforts across engineering disciplines and contractors.
- Provide technical expertise to program management, manufacturing, field start-up, operations, maintenance documentation, and design engineering.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- At least 15 years of experience.
