Quantity Surveyor (QS) Manager

Job Purpose

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Review approved BOQs, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Lead quantity surveying and verification across assigned projects.
• Conduct site inspections during build-up, live event operations, and dismantling.
• Validate measurements and records prepared by the QS Coordinator.
• Verify delivered quantities against approved BOQs.
• Inspect fabrication, branding, flooring, fencing, temporary structures, rentals, and installations.
• Review workmanship, finishes, and compliance with specifications.
• Resolve quantity and quality discrepancies with suppliers and project teams.
• Approve verification reports before invoice processing.
• Support supplier reconciliations, payment validation, audits, and supplier performance reviews.
• Raise discrepancy reports and recommend acceptance or rejection of deliveries.
• Mentor and supervise the QS Coordinator and provide timely project reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in events, exhibitions, fit-out, construction, or large-scale temporary structures is preferred.
• Strong experience in BOQ review, quantity measurement, and site verification.
• Supplier management and commercial discrepancy resolution experience is highly desirable.
• Large-scale event or complex site-based project experience is preferred.

Key Performance Indicators

Working Conditions

• Frequent travel to event sites, supplier facilities, and warehouses is required.
• The role is primarily based in Abu Dhabi and Liwa, with occasional work from the Dubai office.
• Extended working hours may be required during event build-up, live operations, and dismantling.
• Early project deployment may typically run Monday to Thursday depending on the project schedule.
• During live events, the candidate will generally receive one day off per week.
• On-site accommodation will be provided during the Liwa deployment.

Compensation

• The salary is AED 15,000 per month.
