About the Role

JAM People is recruiting a QS Coordinator for a large-scale event project based in Liwa, Abu Dhabi.

The role supports the QS Manager with on-site measurement, quantity verification, and project documentation.

Compensation

  • Salary is AED 8,000 per month.
  • Shared on-site accommodation with an own room is provided during the Liwa deployment.

Location and Deployment

  • The role is on-site in Abu Dhabi and Liwa, UAE, from September through the end of January.
  • The position requires frequent presence at event sites, supplier facilities, and warehouses, with occasional work from the Dubai office.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review BOQs, drawings, and technical specifications and perform on-site measurement of delivered event works.
  • Conduct inspections during build-up, live operations, and dismantling.
  • Prepare measurement sheets, quantity records, verification reports, site logs, and photographic documentation.
  • Check quantities, workmanship, and specifications; report discrepancies and assist with supplier resolution.
  • Support supplier reconciliations, invoice checks, payment validation, and Procurement reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
  • Two to three years of relevant experience, preferably in events, exhibitions, fit-out, construction, or temporary structures.
  • Practical experience in site measurement, quantity take-off, and BOQ-based verification.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; AutoCAD or measurement software is an advantage.

Core Competencies

  • Working knowledge of quantity surveying principles and ability to interpret BOQs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong measurement accuracy, record keeping, reporting, documentation, and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication with suppliers and site teams, reliability, and ability to work under pressure.

Working Conditions

  • Extended working hours may be required during build-up, live operations, and dismantling.
  • Early project deployment may typically run Monday to Thursday, depending on the project schedule.
  • During the live event period, the candidate will generally receive one day off per week.
