Role Overview
Whizz HR is hiring a Quantity Surveyor or Estimation Engineer for a leading interior fit-out company in Dubai.
The role manages cost-related aspects of interior fit-out projects while maintaining value, quality, and compliance.
The position is based in Al Quoz, Dubai, requires 1–2 years of experience, and works Monday to Saturday.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and budgets for interior fit-out projects.
- Evaluate tender documents, drawings, and specifications to assess scope and pricing requirements.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate with subcontractors, and prepare procurement cost comparisons.
- Monitor project costs, identify budget variances, and prepare cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Prepare interim valuations, progress claims, payment applications, and project financial summaries.
- Assess and certify subcontractor payment applications and variations.
- Conduct site visits to verify progress and support contract administration, risk management, and dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, contractual obligations, and local regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of quantity surveying experience, preferably in interior fit-out.
- Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials, methods, and market rates.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software such as CostX or Candy.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
