Job Summary

Manage all cost and commercial aspects of interior fit-out projects from estimation and tendering through final handover.

Use analytical, negotiation, and project coordination skills to keep projects within budget and maximize value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for interior fit-out projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and material requirements for accurate pricing.
  • Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Manage project budgets, track costs, and prepare financial progress reports.
  • Prepare and process variations, interim valuations, and final accounts.
  • Conduct site visits for measurement, progress verification, and cost monitoring.
  • Assist with contract negotiation and compliance with contractual and financial terms.
  • Support procurement by identifying cost-effective materials and subcontractors.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering solutions.
  • Coordinate with project managers, designers, and site teams.
  • Maintain records of purchase orders, agreements, payment certificates, and other commercial activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of quantity surveying experience within the interior fit-out industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, finishes, joinery, and MEP coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software such as Candy, CostX, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with high-end commercial, retail, and hospitality fit-out projects.
  • Familiarity with local market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and project cost control techniques.
