Job Purpose
An interior fit-out company is hiring a Quantity Surveyor or Estimation Engineer in Dubai.
The role manages cost-related aspects of interior fit-out projects, supporting value for money, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
Role Details
- The role is based in Al Quoz, Dubai.
- Working days are Monday through Saturday.
- The posting requests 1–2 years of experience.
Cost and Estimation
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and budgets for interior fit-out projects.
- Evaluate tender documents, drawings, and specifications to assess project scope and pricing requirements.
- Monitor project costs and identify budget variances throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and project financial summaries.
Procurement and Commercial Duties
- Obtain quotations, negotiate with subcontractors, and prepare procurement cost comparisons.
- Prepare interim valuations, progress claims, and payment applications.
- Assess and certify subcontractor payment applications and variations.
- Support contract administration, risk management, and dispute resolution.
Site and Compliance
- Conduct site visits to verify work progress and alignment with financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, contractual obligations, and local regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in interior fit-out.
- Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and market rates for interior fit-out works.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Technical and Professional Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software such as CostX or Candy.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
