About the Role
Unilever is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern to support operational quality management in their Jeddah factory. The role involves online quality management, digitalization, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Develop, lead, and drive optimization and Kaizen related to top plant and quality losses
- Maintain, develop, and use operational knowledge of various Digital support systems used for Quality applications
- Define Statistical Process Control methods for setting targets and limits
- Manage and ensure compliance with the quality management system through communication, training, and audits
- Lead data collection, analysis, and assignment to standard Quality loss trees
- Utilize SAP QM and Unilever specifications including SAP PLM & ECC
- Track and trend consumer complaint data to ensure focused improvement
- Interpret, apply, and enforce company policies, programs, regulations, and safety/Environmental rules
- Lead improvement in packaging materials, reduction of E incidents and Quality downtimes
- Ensure making and packing areas comply with GMP and HACCP requirements
- Identify and develop Quality gate controls at every critical stage
- Support implementation and verification of procedures to control non conforming materials and products
Requirements
- Engineering Course, preferably Mechanical and Chemical
- Must have a logical and methodical approach on work
- Fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English
- Good knowledge of UMS, SPC, six sigma
- Good analytical skills along with computer understanding
- Team player, good in communication, ability to provide training

Job Purpose
- This role will be responsible for Operational Quality which includes On line Quality management of manufacturing processes, from material handling to batch making as well as Finished Good Quality Assurance ensuring dispatch of 100% consumer acceptable quality products (CRQS/PQS approach) from the fa
- With key accountability in executing Digitalization and Quality support to UMS (continuous improvement).
Key Responsibilities
- To develop, lead, and drive optimization and Kaizen related to top plant and quality losses.
- To maintain, develop, and use operational knowledge of various Digital support systems used for Quality applications.
- To define Statistical Process Control methods for use in setting targets and limits for operational areas.
- To manage and ensure compliance with the quality management system through communication, training, and internal/external audits at all levels.
- To lead data collection, analysis, and assignment to standard Quality loss trees in support of operational KPIs reporting.
- To utilize SAP QM and Unilever specifications including SAP PLM & ECC and supports verification of use for quality purposes.
- To track and trend consumer complaint data to ensure focused improvement within gaps.
- To interpret, apply, and enforce all company policies, programs, regulations, and safety/Environmental rules.
- To lead the improvement in packaging materials, reduction of E incidents and Quality downtimes in production lines.
- To ensure that all the making and packing areas comply with the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and HACCP requirements.
- To identify and develop Quality gate controls (Q points / CCPs, etc.) at every critical stage.
- To ensure that Quality related projects are being executed on time by following up with project owners.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering Course, preferably Mechanical and Chemical.
- Must have a logical and methodical approach on work and fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English.
- He must have good knowledge of UMS, SPC, six sigma as well as good analytical skills along with computer understanding.
- Team player, good in communication, ability to provide training, have a logical and methodical approach to his work.
