Job Summary
The Quality Checker or QA-QC Engineer ensures construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
The role includes site inspections, quality issue identification, inspection records, coordination with site teams and contractors, and defect rectification.
Work Setting
- The role requires visits to assigned construction sites and is field-based.
Quality Inspection
- Conduct regular site inspections and check ongoing work against approved drawings and specifications.
- Inspect civil, structural, finishing, and other construction activities.
- Identify workmanship defects and deviations and ensure corrective actions are completed before the next activity.
RCC and Structural Quality
- Check reinforcement diameter and spacing, bar bending and placement, lap length, development length, cover blocks, and concrete cover.
- Inspect formwork alignment and levels, column, beam, and slab dimensions, concrete grade, slump tests, cube tests, pouring, vibration, and curing.
- Identify honeycombing and other concrete defects.
